I’ve started my journey to the coast with Star-Buck. Schatzie and Renegade are with a wonderful host and will be well taken care of. Star-Buck and I did 22 miles today. Found some beautiful trails and the views were awesome.

Renegade’s Ultrasound
Great news Renegade will be well in time. The vet said he broke a tiny bit of bone off his hip and that he will be ok to travel once his body produces a fibrous cover for the little piece which she said will happen by the middle of October. And that in time he will be completely well. While he was drugged I had his teeth done.
Trek to the Coast
I’m borrowing a saddle and gear and riding to the coast with my Trusty steed Star-Buck. Once I’m there I’m calling the Trek done. However I’m not stopping my fundraiser once I’m home I’m going to ride as much as I can and put a dollar in for every mile I ride till I reach my Goal of 7000 dollars. It will probably take me a while to get there but it’s worth doing.

Renegade’s injury
His injury has pulled him out of the Trek he is going to be on field rest for 6 months. So now I have to make a decision about the trek. Do I buy another horse and continue with the wagon or do I sell the wagon and ride Star-Buck the rest of the way home. Either way it’s going to be a major change in my life. It’s hard to imagine this trek with out my Renegade he’s been such a solid steady beautiful horse. He always gave 110 percent when he was working. I’ll miss him on the road.
