Hi, I’m Angela, And this is my mission and my dream: Riding for Childhood Hunger Awareness. If you are interested in what Renegade, Buck, Schatzie and I are doing, please read on.
But what exactly are we doing, you’re no doubt wondering? I will be traveling alone with my horses and wagon. 8000+ miles, from the East coast to the West coast and back, on a continuous ride.
There are several different types of hunger. There is the hunger of the body, the hunger of the soul, the hunger of emotions, and the hunger of intellect. When children grow up hungry they do not develop correctly. My mission is to bring awareness of these type of hungers and the problems they cause when children are neglected and are hungry. Children that are hungry as a child become deficient adults and have a hard time becoming successful members of society. Let’s help our children in America become the best they can be.

I’ve lost count of the days I’ve been out here. And I’m leaving it that way, I think I’ll live on horse time now. People continue to awe me with their generous hearts. I’ve had some great hosts since I’ve started our Childhood Hunger Awareness Trek in America. I’ve not always mentioned everyone that have hosted me. Because there have just been to many good ones. Thank you for being what Americans are supposed to be.

Buck and Renegade

I’m in Jasper Tn at a very nice farm with a generous family who put me up for this night. The boys have a comfortable paddock and shelter. Childhood Hunger Awareness Trek is trying to raise awareness of the hunger our children in America are facing every day. Please if you see a need Help. One mile is not enough go the extra mile to help.

Today was a good day. The Boys are doing well and I’m in Chattanooga TN on the East side at the Camping World camp ground. They were very kind to let me park here. I’ve met a lot of wonderful people who work here. Thank you for letting me stay. 

As I sit here and update my blog it’s cold outside. My phone says 25 degrees. But my Childhood Hunger Awareness Trek will go on I’ll be starting out tomorrow heading west. Here is my route for the next week.

I’m in Murphy NC and sleeping in a Tree house tonight cool isn’t it. I’m almost completely healed up. I’ll be entering Tennessee tomorrow on highway 64. The boys are doing well and regaining their confidence. Schatzie is being her usual charming self.
